Its Raining Trends..!!

Monsoon is here and it is time for us women to become trendy again. The rains surely demand some necessary changes to our wardrobe but that does not mean you have to surrender on your style statement, you can definitely reconstruct your own style this rainy season.

Here is our comprehensive guide on what you must have this monsoon.

If you prefer traditional Indian clothes, avoid heavy bottoms (salwars, flared skirts) instead wear short kurtis with dark colored churidars or leggings. Make yourself more comfortable by wearing cotton A-shaped kurti or an anarkali. Replace dupatta with short cotton scarves. Keep it simple and light to stay tidy.

This monsoon season we need to shift from structured to flowing silhouettes in sheer, breezy and light fabrics. Simple and comfortable clothing should be preferred to voluminous clothes. Go for basic structured but at the same time, body hugging clothes are not meant for the season. Rigid silhouettes are out this season.so are plunging necklines. Go for boat necks and halter necks.

FABRICS

Fabrics like blended cotton and polynylon are ideal for this season. Chiffon and crepe are out as they lose their sheen once they are wet. Stock all those fabric materials that take time to dry, thereby giving rise to stink. Add materials such as georgettes and chiffons to your wardrobe during monsoon. In short, use fabric that can dry fast.

COLOR

Colors like blue, light purple, indigo, lemon yellow and white, red, magenta, fluorescent pink and acid greens. Monsoon is a welcome season which brings with itself bold fashion that reflects your personality and moods.. Thus monsoon is the season to make bold fashion statements.

Anarkali Suits

With the changing trends in Bollywood fashion, the anarkali fever is setting in. From Mughal-e-azam to Dedh Ishqiya, anarkali suits have always been the ‘talk of the town’ making them a must have in every girl’s wardrobe. However, anarkali suits are becoming a lot trendier and these days floor length anarkali is the latest rage. Silk and brocade is replaced by chiffon, net and georgette. For the sheer variety that the internet offers, women have started to buy Anarkali suits online. This dress is the best option for a pear shaped and apple shaped body, as it accentuates the waist and flaunts one’s feminine side.

An Anarkali Suit is a combination of a long kurta and bottoms. The kurta is fitted on the bust and normally features large pleats flowing around the legs like an umbrella.
Anarkali dresses owe their name to Anarkali, a famous courtesan in the court of a great mughal emperor the story of Anarkali was immortalized because of her affair with the emperor's son that ended in tragedy when Anarkali was buried alive behind a wall
The styling of the dress has evolved over time, with trends ranging from floor lengths to normal length ones that end below the knees. It is indeed a classic item of clothing and apt for the festive and the wedding season.

Anarkali for your body type:
Tall: If you have thin legs, you have nothing to worry about. Anarkalis look great on tall women. Tall women can experiment with contrasting colours. An empire line or waist line works well for tall girls too.

Petite: If you have a small built, choose an anarkali style carefully. Avoid too much flare. Petite girls should pick something with moderate flare as too much of it can drown you in the fabric. You could also try picking a kurta that ends above your knee.

Slim: Slim girls are lucky, as most anarkali styles work for them. You could either go for traditional or try something contemporary.

Short: Short girls have to be extra careful while wearing an anarkali as it can make you look stout if not worn correctly. Pick an anarkali in a single color and go easy on the flare. An anarkali without too many kalis is what you should pick. And don't forget a sexy pair of heels.

How to look perfect in the Anarkali look:

Choose a beautiful Anarkali suit to charm your way. Here is a simple guide for you to follow to look ravishing in an anarkali.

Fabrics - Rich fabrics like georgette, chiffon, net and viscose are used in anarkalis and are the best pick to add glamour to your look. Chiffon and georgette gives a more classy and elegant look. The kameez of this style is quite heavily embellished with embroideries like zari, gotta, sequins, laces, beads, pearls etc.

Colors - Light and soft colors are the flavor of the season. So the preferred colors would be cream, off white, ivory, baby pink, sea green, turquoise blue and pastel shades. Besides that, when it comes to anarkalis, bright colors work really well. So, if you feel uncomfortable in simple soft colors, you can go for the bright, neon shades of orange, green, blue, red and pink for a real upbeat look.

Accessories - Since anarkalis are heavy, go minimalistic with the accessories. Beautiful heavy danglers and bracelets with a bare neck can work wonders with the look. You can also go a little avant-garde and don kundan jewelry.
